Discovering Aljany: The Blog Series

Last year, we brought on Aljany Narcius, a Haitian journalist, to write about her life and experiences as a young mother, a woman, and a professional in today's Port-au-Prince.

Her stories, from a childhood marked by gang violence, to the joy of a first child, to the challenges of being a single mother in Haiti, have been a huge hit with our Fanmi Ansanm supporters.

We ended up bringing Aljany into our Scholarship Fund program, and to celebrate her recent graduation (with a Master's degree!), we're sharing her blog series, Discovering Aljany, on our website for the very first time!

Aljany Narcius

Haitian journalist Aljany Narcius is currently pursuing a Master 2 in Media Management, online from France’s University of Lille. With ten years of experience in the fields of journalism and communication, Aljany is a linguist who uses the Creole language as her weapon in the fight against social inequalities, exploitation, and all kinds of violence.
